Dear friends,
Chabad of Southern Oregon has entered into a contract to purchase the former Starbucks building of Ashland that will serve as the new Chabad Center for Jewish Life. Since September of 2003, Chabad of Southern Oregon has been a beacon of light to the entire community and a place where everyone is welcome, regardless of background or prior knowledge, to learn or pray, to be inspired, or to just stop in for some friendship. Over the years, Chabad has grown tremendously, and our current facility on Hillview Drive can no longer accommodate our ever-growing roster of programs and services. After a long search we have found the perfect location on Siskiyou Blvd, the main street in Ashland, adjacent to the campus of Southern Oregon University. This beautiful property will become our new Chabad Center for Jewish Life and will include a Sanctuary, Cafe Lounge, Social Hall, Classroom, Library, Children's Play Area, Kitchen, and Offices. |
This is a very exciting opportunity. Having our own building will enable us to serve the community on a much broader scale and give each of you a “home” and a center for Jewish life, learning, and living. We couldn't have found a better location for our new Chabad Center. NOW, WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE IT HAPPEN! Please consider making a substantial gift towards this building project. Chabad is not funded by any central organization, and we must independently raise every penny of this capital campaign as well as the operating budget. Please help us turn this dream into a reality!
