Mishloach Manot - MuchnikPurim 2010 Project

(Form Below)

On Purim we celebrate the unity of the Jewish people. One of its beautiful Mitzvahs is "Mishloach Manot," the sending of gifts of foods to friends.

Many of you may recall that in the past  Chabad sent out a Purim gift of food to most of the Jewish community.  Everyone immensely enjoyed the unexpected hamentashen and was greatly touched upon receiving it. We received a great deal of positive feedback from a wide spectrum of the Jewish community. To this day people are still thanking us for it. For many, this is one of their only Jewish connections.

Again this year we plan to send the gift packages to the Jewish Community. In addition, we would like to include everyone to participate in this Mitzvah. Not only will Chabad be sending them out, but now YOU, too, can be a part creating that feeling of caring and love in the community.

Here is how you can take part:

Every hamentashen gift package will include a letter with the names of the friends who chose to give them Mishloach Manot (the gift package). For example, a gift sent to Joe & Joan Goldberg will include a letter stating that “Frank Finklestein, Harvey Hurwitz & … Wish you a Happy Purim”.

All you have to do is provide us with a list of everyone you would like to give the Mishloach Manot to with a check for that amount. (Please see below for prices.)  We will take care of the rest, making sure they receive the gift package from you in time for Purim.

Feel free to include people from your Torah Class, your synagogue, your friends and/or your business associates. If you have family or friends outside this area, we will ship to them for an extra charge of only $2 per gift box.

Please consider sponsoring  a gift package for  a home-bound senior.

All orders must be received before February 16th.

Thank you for participating in this beautiful and unifying Mitzvah!
